German Classes for Young Children (Ages 3-5)
Our preschool German classes are designed for beginners as well as German-speaking and bilingual children. Early Learning gives young children a warm, structured space to meet German naturally. Through songs, games, and movement, they begin to understand and use the language with curiosity and confidence, long before formal lessons start. The focus is on early language development and social interaction, so German always feels like play, not study.

Why start German early?
Many parents have the same worry. Here is what it usually sounds like, and what is really true.
How we group children
Children aged 3 to 5 learn in small groups of up to four, with children of a similar age. At this age we work through songs, games and movement rather than through worksheets, so a child who has never heard German and one who hears it at home can sit in the same circle. A 10% family discount applies from the second family member.

What you will learn
First German words and everyday vocabulary, with themes children already know: colours, numbers, body parts, family and animals. They listen, repeat and respond, and pick up the sound and rhythm of German through songs, movement and play.
What is included
Play-based learning materials, songs, games and creative activities, and visual resources children can touch and move. Progression is gentle and guided, at the pace of the group. Families can also borrow from our German library, which has picture books for the youngest ages.
Who this is for
Children aged 3 to 5. Complete beginners with no German at home, and children who already hear German from a parent. No reading or writing is needed to join.
