German Classes for Adults
Learn German at Studyfreunde in Accra, from your first words to confident conversation. We teach all levels, from A1 for complete beginners through B1 and B2 to C1 and C2. Lessons take place in person in Airport West, in a small group of up to four or one-to-one, and online lessons are available on request. You are taught by Vanessa, a native German speaker with a teaching qualification and a Master of Education, so the language you learn is the German people actually speak, and the way you learn it is properly structured.
Our adult classes welcome everyone, from complete beginners to advanced speakers, whether you are learning for travel, work, study, family, an exam certificate, or simply for yourself. Before you start, we talk about your level and what you want to reach, and you are placed accordingly. Beginners build everyday German step by step. At higher levels the focus shifts to fluency, precision and the kind of language you need for work, study or daily life in a German-speaking country.

How we group students
We offer beginner and advanced classes in small groups or one-to-one, in person or online. Placement stays flexible and is based on your level and goals, so exam preparation, for example, may run one-to-one. A 10% family discount applies from the second family member.
German for Ausbildung, university study and family reunification
Adults come to us with very different goals, and many have something specific in mind: an Ausbildung in Germany, a university place, a regulated profession such as nursing, or joining family who already live there. Each route asks for a recognised certificate at a particular level: A1 for family reunification, B1 for most Ausbildung programmes, B2 for regulated professions such as nursing, and B2 to C1 for university study, depending on the programme.
We prepare you for the Goethe-Zertifikat at every level, from A1 through to C2. Because groups are capped at four, you speak far more in each lesson than you would in a large exam class, and we set the pace by your deadline rather than by a fixed term. You can start at any time, and you do not have to wait for a new course to begin.
At the higher levels it stops being only about passing an exam. If you want to go further, we take you all the way to native-level command (C2), whether that is for work, for study, or for living in a German-speaking country.
Lessons take place in person at our centre in Airport West, Accra, with online lessons on request.
