Studyfreunde offers personal German lessons for children, teenagers and adults in Accra, with English as an additional subject available on enquiry. We are looking for practical support as our learning centre grows.

German Teacher
We are looking for professional, qualified German teachers for our groups of children, teenagers and adults in Airport West, Accra. Groups never have more than four learners.
What you bring
- A teaching degree: a Bachelor of Education, or a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from a teacher training programme such as the German Lehramt, plus a few years of teaching experience. A Master of Education is an advantage.
- Teaching practice, internships or teaching experience at a German-language school, whether in Germany, Switzerland, Austria or elsewhere, is a strong advantage.
- German at C2 level. Most of our teachers are native speakers.
- Experience with children and teenagers, or a clear wish to work with them.
- Good spoken English and residence in Accra, because all lessons take place in person.
What the work looks like
- Lessons of 60 minutes, Tuesday to Friday between 12pm and 5pm and on Saturday between 10am and 2pm.
- Prepared materials, a learning room set up for small groups, and a library of German books.
- Levels from first words to C2, from German for Preschoolers to adult classes and Goethe exam preparation.

A small team in a real learning centre
Studyfreunde is a learning centre in Airport West, Accra, not a large institution. You would be part of a small team that knows every learner by name, working in classrooms that are set up for small groups and for children who are just starting out with German.
Days are varied. Some hours are quiet preparation, others are busy with lessons, playgroups and families coming through the door. If you like both sides of that, you will feel at home here.
